E-Commerce Expo in Berlin: Participating for the first time was an exhilarating experience!
We aspired to join the E-Commerce Expo in Berlin for quite some time. However, scheduling conflicts with other significant industry events, such as the Call Center World Expo, also hosted in Berlin, often interfered.
The event unfolds over two days, starting with a pre-event award ceremony and ending with a full-day expo.
This year marked our debut by attending and competing in the E-Commerce Germany Awards 2024 with our innovative community advice solution.
To advance to the final round, entrants must nominate their solution in a specific category and secure a spot in the top 10 through a public LinkedIn vote. A distinguished jury of 30 e-commerce experts then chooses the final winners.
Winning feels incredibly rewarding
The event saw 20,000 public votes and the expertise of 30 jury members, leading to the selection of 12 category winners from 350 entries!
Representing GUURU, Jörg and I participated in both days of the E-Commerce Show.
The award night was thrilling; learning that the GUURU Solution had clinched the “Best Engagement & Communication Solution” Award 2024 was both an honour and a joy. Accepting the award on behalf of the GUURU team was a proud and exhilarating moment.
This achievement is a significant milestone for the entire GUURU team and serves as a testament to the dedication of our expansive community of Guurus. Their passion for supporting brands and organizations is invaluable. We dedicate this award to all these Guurus, who relentlessly share their passion, knowledge, and expertise daily with online shoppers who need advice to make a purchasing decision. We are very proud of you!
The recognition from about 30 e-commerce industry leaders underscores our commitment to fostering Real Human Advice through the group of people who not only use the products but also love the brand and are experts in the topic: the community.
In a world where everyone talks about AI, it is crucial to maintain human exchanges, share real passion and offer experienced advice. This creates an emotional bond with a brand.
The expo also provided an excellent opportunity for networking. It featured dedicated meeting spaces and presentations from well-known brands and retailers, all set in Berlin’s historic STATION venue.
The event surpassed our expectations in size and visitor engagement, a testament to the organizers’ efforts since its inception in 2016.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to participate next in K5 this June, another gathering of the e-commerce community in Berlin.
